Apr 7 Walking into Spring

Spring has certainly sprung here in MN and I couldn't be happier. I think the best part about spring is all the "new" that it brings. New flowers, new grass, a new life outlook; the idea that things can be new again is definitely a pleasant one. When I think ahead to the new season, I'm eager to see the sun begin to shine a little more and the holidays it brings, which allow for special time with loved ones. But I also find myself in a state of looking inward - how can I make myself new again this season? How can I be a better friend, a better wife, a better blogger, a better colleague? These are questions I don't always tend to stop and ask myself with the constant state of hustle and bustle I live in.

But when I do take a moment to self-reflect, I realize that I don't always think positively of myself. I realize that I dwell so very much on all the little things that bother me about myself; all of the ways I couldn't do this or I wasn't able to do that (based on whatever reason or circumstance). It's such a bad habit and one that is completely not the true scope of reality!

This season, I'm going to challenge myself to think differently, to reflect positively and to project good energy towards everything that surrounds me. I can be new again, each and every day; its all about how you look at things.

On a less forward-thinking note, I had the sincere pleasure of collaborating with local streetstyle photographer Mardo of @streetstylemn a few weeks back and we had an absolute blast! We shot a bunch of super cool looks I'm excited to share with you soon, but this first one is one of my favorites.

If you follow my insta at all, you'll see that I have been raving about these Mother Denim jeans lately because they are just Soooooo comfy! Plus, my orange Calvin Klein wedges are still my go-to for spring even after 2 years.
