Autumn in Gold

Autumn truly is my favorite time of year. The leaves change, the air is crips and the sun comes up a bit earlier. It's also the perfect time to begin your fall layering routine. If you know me well, you know I have a keen obsession with two items more than anything else - sequins and a good leather jacket. Well the sequins thing goes far beyond just sequins - basically anything metallic that my eyes see must be owned! (I know, you're shaking your head, but sadly its pretty true)

This fall, I'm pulling out some of my favorite pieces from Summer and finding new ways to pull them into my colder-weather wardrobe. Like this amazing dress I got on clearance from Nasty Gal in the spring. It's sold out now, but I've linked a few other fabulous metallic pieces for you below. This dress in particular is a beaut and I'm thinking about adding to to my collection soon maybe for some holiday parties if I can get it on sale - I'd pair it with a fancy leather vest or leather jacket like the one featured in the look below to make it a bit more demure :).

I'm also really enjoying scarves during this transitional time. Not so much the bulky ones that become my obsession in winter, but more of the silk/satin fabric scarves. They're an elegant addition to any outfit and can be worn lots of different ways. Right now, I'm either draping mine around the neck (as seen below) or I'm wearing them as a neck scarf. Here's one I'm eyeing from Revolve that is the perfect pattern for all the season's transitions.

Enjoy all that this lovely season has left to offer! XO, SarahRileyRose
